What is F-I.dev?
What on earth is "F-I.dev" - It's a couple of things;; It's a 'stealth umbrella brand': Basically, there is a brand with the initials F & I which might be created at some point. Before much effort is put into creating a brand, it's probably better to at least one viable product or service to kick off the brand with. F-I.dev will do for now. Once the first product/service is viable and self sustaining the brand will be developed. When the brand is developed out the F-I.dev domain/business/infrastructure will remain the public facing dev team's business unit. It's a short domain to work from: The F-I group will own a short .com, which I have had tucked away for a few years, the two letter dot com will be used for APIs or services where we want to keep string lengths really short.
